About Tamara Almquist

Hello! My name is Tami Almquist. I've lived in the Pocono Mountains since 1984, after moving with my family from New Jersey to Paradise Valley while still in grammar school. I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Biology from East Stroudsburg University, and attended the University of Scranton for Business and Healthcare Administration. After a successful ten years in the healthcare field, I made the decision to embrace nature; I took two months to hike the Appalachian Trail, finishing the trail in six states from West Virginia to Massachusetts. My desire to share with others all the Pocono Mountains has to offer has led me to pursue a career in real estate with Pocono Mountain Lakes Realty. I prize myself a hard worker, a woman of integrity and ethical values, and I raised my son, Alex (23) on those same principles. I currently reside in Pocono Lake, PA where I enjoy anything to do with the outdoors: hiking, kayaking, gardening, fishing, and foraging, etc. I can say, with my 30+ years of living in the Poconos, that it is truly the perfect place to enjoy nature - you only have to walk out your front door to see all it has to offer.
